Apex Thought is Kuala Lumpur's premier debate academy, offering structured British Parliamentary (BP) debate training for children and teenagers from age 5 through 18+. Our classes are held at WONIQ, Glo Damansara in TTDI - easily accessible from across KL, Bangsar, Mont Kiara, Hartamas, and the surrounding neighbourhoods.
Founded by Dr Shantini Karalasingam (PhD, University of Nottingham), Apex Thought has trained over 200 students who have competed internationally in Bangkok, Shanghai, and the Philippines. Our KL students represent Malaysia at competitions including THBPO, SIDO, MSSD Nationals, and IIUM IDC.
Whether your child is a complete beginner or an experienced debater looking to compete internationally, we have a program designed for their level and goals.
All programs run on Sundays at our TTDI venue.
Ages 5–8
Cognitive skills and imagination for young minds. Sunday 12–1pm.
Ages 9–11 · RM 360/month
Playful introduction to debate through games and structured speaking.
Ages 12–14 · RM 360/month
Communication, confidence, and BP/AP/WSDC formats.
Ages 15–17 · RM 360/month
Intensive competitive simulations and policy debates.
Ages 18+ · RM 360/month
Advanced debate for personal growth and leadership.
